Yes, Sugar Concierge is based in New Zealand and primarily serves NZ customers. Our concierge team works with New Zealand bills, banks, insurers, utilities, and lenders every day, so we know the local market and which providers actually offer better deals. Whether you're in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or anywhere else in the country, Sugar can help you stop overpaying — all you need is a New Zealand email address with your financial documents in it.

How it works

When you connect your email, Sugar securely reads your financial emails including bills, statements, renewals, and receipts. We compare what you're currently paying against the market to identify where you're overpaying and how much you could save.

Sugar automatically scans for financial documents like bills, insurance renewals, and loan statements. Within minutes, we start building a picture of your spending and identify savings opportunities. You'll see exactly what we find and how much you could save.

Nope. Once you connect your email, Sugar does the rest: finding savings, comparing providers, and handling switches. If there's any information we need, our team will reach out to fill in the gaps. You stay in control and approve any changes.

We aim to get you your first saving within 24 hours of joining.

Yes. Sugar is a 12-month term because proper renegotiation, switching, and debt work takes time. But if you're not happy for any reason in Month 1, you can cancel.

Security & privacy

Yes. When you connect your email, Sugar gets read-only access — we can look for financial documents like bills, statements, insurance renewals, and loan paperwork, but we can never send, delete, or change your emails. Your inbox stays completely untouched. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we comply with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 as well as Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements — which means your email data is only ever used to provide and improve the Sugar service, never for advertising and never sold to third parties. You stay in control: you can disconnect at any time from within Sugar, or revoke access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Yes. We use encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices and comply with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and Google's Limited Use requirements.

Read-only access. Sugar only looks for financial documents like bills, statements, insurance renewals, and loan documents. We never send, delete, or modify your emails. Your inbox stays completely untouched.

Yes, at any time. You can ask Sugar to unlink it, and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

No. Never. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing purposes. We make money by helping you save money.
